Large Bags VS Extra Large Mushroom Bags
Raybo offers a specialized range of large and extra-large mushroom grow bags, engineered to support diverse cultivation scales—from expanding home operations to optimizing commercial production. Our selection addresses key needs such as effective sterilization cycles, consistent fruiting yields, and accommodating specific substrate requirements for various mushroom species. For personalized advice or to discuss custom configurations, our team is ready to assist you for the pp mushroom bags.
| Aspect | Large Grow Bags | Extra Large Grow Bags |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 2-4 kg of dry substrate. | 5 kg or more of dry substrate. |
| Key Difference | Moderate pressure; even heat penetration during sterilization. | High substrate mass generates more heat; demands higher sterilization uniformity and bag strength. |
| Best For | Standardized production of common mushrooms (e.g., Shiitake, Oyster). | Varieties requiring large substrate (e.g., Hua Gu), or high-yield, labor-saving models. |
| Spawn Run | Heat dissipates easily; lower contamination risk. | Risk of overheating (“burning”); Requires stronger ventilation and cooling. |
| Fruiting | More predictable cycles and flushes. | Longer cycles; Requires attention to sustained nutrient supply. |

Recommended Mushroom Varieties for Large Grow Bags
Extra Large size holds approximately 3-5 kg of dry substrate. Designed for large-scale commercial production, this filter patch grow bag targets high-yield wood-decay mushrooms like oyster, king oyster, black fungus (wood ear), and lion’s mane.
Large size holds approximately 1.5-3 kg of dry substrate. Aimed at small to medium farms or individual growers, it is suitable for cultivating enoki, nameko, certain reishi varieties, white fungus (snow ear), and maitake.

What Our Customers Said?
thickness is standard- these are easy to use/seal. (If you don’t have a heat sealer, just tape shut with micropore tape. If you don’t have that, then just some clear box tape (like moving box tape)
They are great at keeping moisture in without being too wet, and the filter patch is perfect. You can slowly push air out of it once your substrate is inoculated.”
